I am running a 300 MHz Sonnet Crescendo in my 7100, and the performance difference is
very noticeable. So far I haven't had any problems with it, including the video
pass-through. However, with the 7100's memory limitations, there is only so much
benefit a processor upgrade is going to do for you - if you're looking to speed up
programs that you already run, go for the upgrade! If you're hoping that a faster
processor will allow you to run software which you can't run successfully already, you
may be in for some disappointment.
