St Germain's "Rose Rouge" on Blue Note really does it for me at the moment, deep n funky - I'd love to hear this played out on a big system. Not being a "jazz buff" myself (wish I was ;`), would anyone care to enlighten us as to the origin of the samples (vocal and brass) used on this - they are from the Blue Note archives right?
Check out the Source Lab compilations (I think there's 3) for all things French and electronic. I reckon St Germain, I:Cube and even Carl Craig could do some wonderful things with Stereolab's material too <---- wishful thinking. Respect JasonB
