All these guys are on Laurent Garnier's label, F Com ; just released Office
2000, the follow-up of Office 97 and 98, which were wonderful comps of
"easy-listening techno".
Other smaller, less known labels, probably hard to get outside of France are
Naïve (responsible for Le Tone) ; Catalogue (a series of excellent EPs,
rather on the electronica/trip-hop tip, but very good stuff, esp the two
Williams Traffic); Source (already mentioned here, and after all these are
the guys who distribute Warp in France); and Artefact with Shinju Gumi (the
most recent I think, great "orchestral techno" - sorry, I do not know how to
label it !)
There are also lots of micro-labels, what with CDRs appearing in record
shops, so you can easily have great surprises...
