Agreed, that was a great night. Swayzak blew my head off to start with; I was expecting something downtempo and minimal like their recordings, but their set was *really* hard. Lots of old-school 909 beats and mega-distorted effects that completely shredded the speakers -- but in a good way... ;> Juan was great too, after sorting out the technical difficulties he settled into a really nice groove. He pitched a few of the classics a bit too fast for my dancing tastes, but worked the mix around from soulful and housey to harder old-school techno. .John. -- with apologies to Diana... ;>
