consider also the fact that one can play his/her new tracks straigth
from the hard disk, without making expensive test pressings. and it
gets even cheaper as it's not limited to one track only :)
yeah, you're right, it would probably make people buy less vinyl, since
everyone could then just fire up napster/audiogalaxy/whatever such stuff
there is to find the tracks they want for free (well they can do that
now too, but it's more difficult to play it in dj set, who plays CD's
anyway?).
of course finding quality stuff via that way would become more
difficult, if smaller amount of people would buy that music - it means
that smaller amount of people could put the tracks online.
we'll see, we'll see.
