i have no argument with the general claim that there are  white imitators
profiting on the backs of black inovators.
but i don't think it really applies that much to sasha/digweed. there
reference points aren't chicago, new york or detroit. rather the music they
play-trance/progressive-is influenced by the white european electronic music
tradition dating back to the late 70s. it's more moroder meets yes meets
jean michael jarre. (unfortunately sahsa/digweed took the worst elements of
this tradition)
if they spent more of their time 'ripping off' detroit, chicago, and new
york they wouldn't sound so crappy. they'd sound like slam instead.
