I often wonder if the reason why Kraftwerk don't perform more new material (I know their capable of better music than Expo 2000) is because their views are sidered too facist and controversial. I can see them on stage with 3D computer modeled projection of a DNA strand, singing about human cloning, implants. > But my question to Steve is, does Adam Beyer? Does Samuel L Sessions? You can also hear this production quality in the more refined Detroit techno that came out in the mid 90's like Minimal Nation, Waveform Transmissions Vol.1, or Infinity - Game One. > > They are as bad as the people Steve is slagging off, because again they > are just remaking the early Axis releases over and over again. You would categorize all the pounding loop based techno as an Axis rip off? C'mon now that's being a bit unfair, my contention was people associate that sound whether it be The Advent, Adam Bayer, or Subhead to techno today in the year 2003. the problem I see like T1000 was stating in his interview is that Detroit no longer embraces "techno", you don't see the word "techno" being used in 313 music, you don't see 313 artist referring to their music as techno. The guy that mentioned Kenny Larkin he hasn't put out any new album in how long?
