Lighter fluid (like the stuff you fill Zippo lighters with) or record
cleaner from most record shops.... both work very well with no bad side
effects and of course a soft cloth.

 Any weight on a record will cause wear and yes, the more weight the more
wear. So it's a pay off..... If you're mixing or scratching and you can't
afford it to jump, then use enough weight, if you are just spinning ya
tunes, then just use minimal weight! IMO Unless you are spinning the same
records for hours and weeks on end, you will not really notice a lot of
wear, just looking after your records is more important... like putting them
back in their sleeves and not leaving them out to get scratch up... That's
how records get Fu**ed!!

probably been asked a million times but whats the best stuff for cleaning
records...also does putting weights on the end of the tone arms make the
record wear out faster???
