use methylated spirits or rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) mixed with distilled water 1 part to 5. doesn't need to be precise. place mixture in a spray bottle. spray onto a lint free clothe and wipe the record.
for those in the states, there are two types of rubbing alcohol, make sure it is isopropyl. the distilled water is sold in the supermarket or car accesory stores. james > From: Ralf Gill <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Tue, 4 Mar 2003 16:21:52 +1300 > To: "'[email protected]'" <[email protected]> > Subject: (313) cleaning records > > > probably been asked a million times but whats the best stuff for cleaning > records...also does putting weights on the end of the tone arms make the > record wear out faster??? > >
