Ken,

I'm not sure "Please turn off html" is right - you mentioned
"spectre of voluminous incomprehensible batches of characters"
which sounds more like the issues with MIME Content-Type that
I posted about (in great detail) about a couple of months ago.

In short, you might as well hold your breath - my pleas to
change Content-Type to plain text fell on deaf ears. No one
here is willing to change anything (I asked for people to
select old reply text with the mouse and delete it; 10 digests
later, and massive replies-with-all-the-previous-text-included
are still the norm). In Ian's case, he can't change anything -
his WebMail provider encodes everything with base64 encodings
and he can't change it. The only prayer we have of your
specific request coming true is if the list manager software
("ezmlm") configuration can somehow be changed to massage this
stuff back into good ol' plain text on the way in, so it gets
auto-converted and no one has to change anything on their end.
(My gripe about ridiculous amounts of included text is a
different story - it requires social engineering, which doesn't
 work here.)

I *really* wish Mike Brown (or whomever is riding herd over the
list these days) would contact me about the Content-Type issue.

Ob313: I remember the "I Called U" track at Jak. I thought Rich
told me the next day(?) it was a special mix he did of it?
Or maybe I'm confusing that with the "special mix" he did
of "Energy Flash" that he also did, which he also played ...

        - Greg
