no- repressing will only reconfirm the music's greatness to all the people
who are already into it. preaching to the choir.

a 'trendy' movement within this type of music (it amazes me how purist can
always pull the wagons in tighter) will encourage some much needed
economic growth for artists as well as encourage some new musical ideas
and bring forth at least a small contingent who went in as trendies and
came out as life long fans.
