I went to Lost at PP and saw Saunderson and Bicknell. Bicknell definitely played the better set. Although I knew a lot of the tunes by ear I only actually knew for sure 2 of the tunes because I have them myself - chicago "street player" and a track which is the b side to a bootleg of qtip and talk talk that came out around xmas time. Saunderson was a little weak in term of technical skill that time I thought, bicknell really played well, tho not much trickery, a lot of quick mixes (often all you can do with some of those tunes). After saunderson played Bicknell played some really nice techno / tech housey kind of stuff, I think someone mentioned the names of some of the tracks on LD.
I think really, if u have been to the other special losts it was very similar and if you didn't go you didn't miss much in terms of music - what made it worthwhile was to be able to dance all night (well - until 4am) to those great classics coming out of a fantastic sound system with a fantastic crowd of people all dancing, chatting and smiling - for me that is what it's all about :) it made me realise what a fantastic club PP is - every time I've been there it's been brilliant. matt ------[a]--
