well, just as i can be so bold as to point fingers and call out, i can
also retract and say im sorry... but only for making it personal. in past
threads, i had remembered you coming off quite elitest and i thought it
was going to head in that direction again. it looks as though i mightve
made the wrong call and i apologize for that. not to tom though, because
im certain thats where it was going.

whatever... that being said. i think i covered everything i wanted to say
before. i guess the only thing to really adress is that j t, youve been on
here a while now and should be quite familliar with tristans posts, as
well as many others on this list. when someone (yourself included) comes
on and starts praising something as highly as tristan did, i would never
dream of asking them what their deal was with hyping something up. it just
came off in a fashion of "how dare you come on here, hype up something i
like, and get other people interested in it. pretty soon were going to
have kids that hated me in high school listening to it and then i cant
like it anymore". ...or something to that effect.

the point i was trying to make before is that i dont think good music
should be kept to ones self. it should be accessible to anyone in the
world. i would get so mad whenever any dj would black out his or her
records so that it could be thier own special track. that is kinda a
tanget to this, but good music SHOULD get hyped up. sometimes its the only
way someone will get around to listening to it, short of sitting them down
and down and playing it for someone specificly. and since were all
on computers, sometimes it takes a post like tristans to get someones
attention to the fullest. im acctually curious to know if just through
this discussion how many people ended up hearing mathew music for the
first time and have been turned on to it. because it is "hype" like this
that people should be listening for. hype isnt always bad. i wish there
was an alternate term for this type of hype, but there isnt.

so, once again, sorry for jumping to conclusions on you.

/me orders 2 shots of sambuca from the bar, but stiffs you with the tab.

;)

derek.
