I understand why people feel this way, and yet - playing pitched up, especially with lots of quick mixes, is very typical of what I consider the Detroit techno DJ sound to be. For me, Orlando Voorn's set at last year's Movement was an excellent and prototypical example of the classic style of Detroit DJ's throwing down - raw, pitched up, plenty of quick mixes, and just enough ghettotech mixed in to keep those a$$e$ shaking and make you grin a little. ~David
