I truly don't understand people who don't think that good music in house/echno is being released. In my opinion 2004 had plenty of GREAT music. FIrst off, what about the DETROIT GRAND PUBAHS, best 313 record of the year in my opinion. Off hand, other records I am thinking of are the mff "Bad Acid" ep, and lots more, John Tejada had some good stuff, lots of Ghostly International this year, Ellen Allien, Smash TV's new one, pretty good stuff on M_NUS, etc etc... I will have to back through my records, but I know that at least half my bag is new, and (basically) house... BUT I play all that clicky microhouse perlon type stuff a lot, and for some reason I don't understand, people here don't seem to like that sound much anymore. However, in my opinion that is the logical evolution of the music and there is a lot of great stuff being made along those lines. I do realize when I see everyone's top ten list that my tastes seem to be diverging from the "313 mainstream" these days.
