C'mon let's face it, hardcore, whether it was 'ardkore, or happy was a big pile of sh*t and had the musical content of a cheese sandwich.

i find the use of the term 'happy' when used with hardcore a bit
wierd
here.

wasn't it just 'hardcore'?

i thought the 'happy' came later, along with 160bpm four to the
floor
instead of breaks

this is why i was being specific in the years i was mentioning.
early happy hardcore had more to do with hardcore's cheesiness but
still had lots of breakbeats and other stuff. jungle really kicked
off when things got kinda ragga and kinda dark. the other stuff
that didnt get like that was what eventually led to the super fast
distorted 909 kick stuff. tom
