I had just been asking someone who works with them the same question
the other day. We were at a bar, so forgive my hazy memory for
specific details....

They've been formed officially as Paxahau for more than 11 years.
Hoovar has had an influence in party promotions in Detroit since the
early-mid 90s. Mid 90s is when the suburbanites started heading to
Detroit in the 1,000's every weekend in order to party at the Raves.
(The raves and those years are a part of Detroit history thats not
often talked about on this 313 site or any of the overseas Detroit
enthusiasts. The raves did have a massive influence on Detroit
though, as literally 1,000s of people came to the city every weekend
and raves were held in buildings that were otherwise unused, actually
helping the building owners to make some income where there was none.)

So, yeah, in business since the 97 or before, Hoovar worked with the
Detroit party scene for 4+ years before that. I don't know anything
about which parties he worked with or who or where. As I said,
details are hazy, but I did get the understanding during the
conversation that Hoovar has been involved with the city for longer
than people have given him credit for previously.

Suburbanites, although I don't get how people can live in the burbs, I
do understand that when I lived in the burbs 10+ years ago, I still
came to Detroit to spend my money, and many people in Detroit
completely appreciates those suburbanites coming here to spend theirs
now.
