David, All good points. > 4D should have a constants editor, just like it has the list editor…
Agreed. > … > I now use 4DPop for this feature (and nothing else… I tried using 4DPop waaaaay back (4D 2003, 2004, v11, pre-2003 ?) - can’t remember but it was not long after 4DPop became available. I found it created problems with the compiled application so gave it up (and constants with it) and started using IP vars (no problems with those). Apart from one isolated time I have never had the need to try 4DPop again since then but, as it appears so many people are now using it, it must better with regard to compiled applications now. I think (with the Constants issue) I am just another example of “I had problems in the past so, for a quiet life, I’ll simply avoid it for all time” situations. Pathetic I know, but there you have it :-) Cheers, Keith ********************************************************************** 4D Internet Users Group (4D iNUG) FAQ: http://lists.4d.com/faqnug.html Archive: http://lists.4d.com/archives.html Options: http://lists.4d.com/mailman/options/4d_tech Unsub: mailto:[email protected] **********************************************************************
