I tried using 4DPop waaaaay back (4D 2003, 2004, v11, pre-2003 ?) - can’t 
remember but it was not long after 4DPop became available. 
I found it created problems with the compiled application so gave it up (and 
constants with it) and started using IP vars (no problems with those).

Apart from one isolated time I have never had the need to try 4DPop again since 
then but, as it appears so many people are now using it, it must better with 
regard to compiled applications now.

I think (with the Constants issue) I am just another example of “I had problems 
in the past so, for a quiet life, I’ll simply avoid it for all time” situations.
Pathetic I know, but there you have it :-)
