Note, that SuSe is different under the hood and I have no experience
with it, other than at our LUG a number of people had problems building
their own kernel.

That command looks fine to me.

One thing you can do is to run "make oldconfig" to have it set the
settings of your current kernel.  You can then go and tweak only the
items you change.  If there are new or changed options in the new kernel
then you will be prompted on what to do.  generally the defaults are a good.

The actual hardware is integrated with your motherboard, so taking out
this "card" does nothing.
