is it because of the plugs design, because of thin metal or something
because of the electronic? In other words, is it better to connect the
stick, when the computer is turned off?

I need to read more mails ;) ... Maybe my stick is defect, it's write
protected :S since I tried to install beta3 and I read that this could
happen to some micro chips for USB sticks :(.
