I understand the need to "blow off steam". I also understand that I can't fix all problems myself and so sometimes I need help. I have found that swearing at the people who can best help is not the most productive behaviour, and so I use other mechanisms to "blow off steam". I also do not believe in excusing poor behaviour. I was honest in my reply about what I thought about the OP's message. It does no good for me to sugar coat or excuse away that behaviour. I could be wrong about this, but then I rely on the honesty of others to gauge my own behaviours. If no one tells me I am behaving inappropriately, how can I possibly change? > read and pay someone etc., he did read and he did read the wrong howto The web site was accurate for the current *stable* release. > ... bad luck ... so he was stressed, but he didn't kill 40 people in the > supermarket around the corner, he just wrote one word. I did not say it was the worse thing one could do, I am not sure where you get these ideas from. It was also far the best thing he could do. - From the perspective of getting problems fixed, his approach is usually the least productive. A beta is meant for people to test and to find bugs. If a minor grub issue (yes minor, it takes 30 seconds to correct) causes that kind of emotional reaction, then obviously he should not be using beta software. Seriously, finding this bugs is what a beta release is all about. Find a bug, fill out a bug report. I expect a beta to delete all my data. Anything better than that is a bonus. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkoQYgAACgkQwRXgH3rKGfNoQwCgg4SHIm/H27mUR5KKBw5ZcU4m QOMAn0cX/Phia4A7EcftlsFJiACZ+sDO =d5Xa -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
