Um, you did see that 3.0 was beta right?  I mean, there are bugs in beta
software, at least that is my understanding.

I am guessing that the behaviour you noticed is a function of the newer
Ubuntu installer (the stable 2.1 version is Debian based).  Probably
something to keep an eye.  Might be easier to do if someone filled out a
bug report instead of writing the funniest thing I have seen all day.
