A compromise for my troubles would be, to make multi-layered soundfonts
of all sounds of all my synths and the synths of my friends that I need
and that don't need to be played by the original hardware synths. Some
sounds only can be done by the original hardware synth, but most or at
least a lot of sounds also would be fine by multi-layered samples. The
problem with this would be the usage of RAM, that might be easy to
solve, because RAM is less expensive, but the other problem is
unsolvable, it takes too much time and it still would be a compromise
and not a solution, because of some mixing techniques I like. Some
samples that are possible by doing multi-layered samples would be very
long samples, because of vector controlled sounds. Anyway, is there an
application that enables making soundfonts without spending too much
time to do it? I guess common Linux and Windows applications aren't
designed to do it very quickly. I guess it would be possible to do
samples optimized to just one song, so complex applications that needs a
lot of work to do the soundfont aren't needed all the time, but watching
screenshots common applications seems to be very complex and if I take a
look how slow free soundfonts grow this impression seems to be correct.
