That will likely lead to a lot of xruns and weird behaviour that have nothing to do with the problem at hand. I am more interested in the heat generated by this machine. A CPU under load generates far more heat than an idle one. I wonder what happens if he loads Ardour and then does nothing. The things I would check are the CPU Fan/Heatsink and the power supply. These two probably account for more than 90% of the "random" reboots that I see. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkqbTX0ACgkQwRXgH3rKGfOJSQCeIMpk4Sa5fy+yfyiDfHqe8PJS NlQAn1rZ2h1PCJR5nX4rBMleAZfvfvx6 =7Uvw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
