Hi, at least here it is suggested to install sysv-rc=2.86.ds1-14.1ubuntu45.64studio1~hardy1 http://www.64studio.com/node/877 I wrote the how-to for upgrading from Linux Mint 5 (or Ubuntu 8.04) to 64 Studio 3.0 because I had problems with 3.0's alpha installer and upgrading seemed to be the only way to get 64 Studio 3.0 running in my laptop. I guess I was not the only one having that problem. (http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&p=151717#p151717) The upgraded system has been working fine here. I have no doubt that installing pure 64 Studio would be the safest bet (when the installer works), but I also think that a possibility to upgrade from Ubuntu or Mint to 64 Studio could bring/benefit new users.
