What if I want to manually assign 2001:db8::1 on a LoWPAN node? Who will ensure its uniqueness?

As with 4862, you start out with an optimistic address, do DAD, but not with NS, but using NR via the whiteboard.
Nothing special at all except for replacing NS-based DAD with NR-based.

The only problem is that your EUI-64 must be 02:00:00:00:00:00:00:01 if you actually want to get packets.

This ^ restriction (the g bit) is not present anywhere else outside 6LoWPAN.

I can easily assign 1::1 on an interface, and if as human I know I own this address then all is fine.

(There is an easy hack if your node is a router.)
