Because people are confused by "join", I think you mean to say,
"That said, I don't see a good reason to use EBs for anything other
than initial imprint in 6TiSCH."
Various people have suggested that we need a way to get the current ASN for
devices that might have been asleep for long periods of time.
Given that we have an industrial focused scope for 6tisch, and the reason for
this narrow scope was to permit us to make progress without boiling the
oceans, I think that it would be useful to consider that in answers that
might occur.
