Roger pointed me to this today: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_Policy_Act_of_2005#Change_to_daylight_saving_time
Has anyone seen this yet? Essentially DST is now in effect from second Sunday in March, rather than first Sunday in April. DST now Ends first Sunday in November. So, essentially 3 or more extra weeks of Daylight Savings Time. I hadn't heard of this, and it is in effect as of next year, -- the next DST will occur 2 weeks earlier than most of the world's devices and operating systems are expecting. Has anyone seen any patches to main packages in any distros? Any idea if Windows has streamed out updates for this? Since I still use some end-of-life'd systems like Windows 98 every once in a while, I guess I'll have to start manually adjusting them from here on out.
