Shortly after I installed some alsaconf stuff on my Debian box to get sound, I rebooted and got a black screen.
At first, I thought it had something to do with a bad install, but when I boot up, the screen is extremely dark (even in BIOS). I hit the "brighter" and "darker" buttons, but I get nothing. Does it sound like the LCD is burned out? Or perhaps something related some brightness settings? I can't imagine anything Linux related that would do this, even though it happened almost immediately afterwards. Roger
