I've used System Rescue CD for almost 2 years as a tool to shrink NTFS and FAT
partitions on boxes I need to put Linux on. It comes with qtparted, some
ghosting software (g4u I think), and other great rescue utils. When I found
System Rescue CD, the makers of partition magic, Norton ghost, et al. will
never saw my money again. Knoppix has a lot of similar programs on it but, I
prefer System Rescue CD over Knoppix because it takes a long time to load X and
it is more centered toward a desktop Linux on a CD than a rescue CD. I
recommend System Rescue CD to anyone looking for a good rescue CD Linux distro.

Subject: [909linux] System Rescue CD includes Speakup screen reader for blind

Linux-kernel-2.6.19

SystemRescueCd-0.3.3 is based on linux-2.6.19.2 (gentoo-sources). It
was patched in order to add support for the Reiser4 file system, and
add the Speakup screen reader for blind people. The precompiled kernel
includes a lot of drivers, in order to work for most users.

I wonder how well this Speakup screen reader works...
