I've used System Rescue CD for almost 2 years as a tool to shrink NTFS and FAT
partitions on boxes I need to put Linux on. It comes with qtparted, some
ghosting software (g4u I think), and other great rescue utils. When I found
System Rescue CD, the makers of partition magic, Norton ghost, et al. will
never saw my money again. Knoppix has a lot of similar programs on it but, I
prefer System Rescue CD over Knoppix because it takes a long time to load X and
it is more centered toward a desktop Linux on a CD than a rescue CD. I
recommend System Rescue CD to anyone looking for a good rescue CD Linux distro.

I used it today, and it was incredibly fast and easy (assuming you had a
little *nix experience and was comfortable with the command line).
I still keep a copy of mini-PE and Hiren around, just in case...
