I understand where you are coming from but, I have subscribed to 
computer help mailing groups where the owner and moderators have been 
knowledgeable; others on the other hand have not.  I dont accept the 
first word that is stated.
Secondly, I am not expounding the virtues of AVG by any means, that's 
not in the picture here.  My question relates to why as someone has 
endorsed in my view an attachment or download can be sent to Desktop 
before installing elsewhere;  more particularly the Microsoft 
installations.

I have seen a response here - Piney I thought it was -  where someone 
agreed with me.  Can we have some open thought, just in case its 
pertinent.
For avoidance of doubt, I am not talking about my anti virus software 
or any other. What is the answer?
