I had nothing but trouble with SBC DSL until I got rid of them for MCI DSL.  I 
have never been happier!!

  Here's something weird that a tech told me from SBC.  I have SBC DSL and he 
  said the reason my connection to the DSL network keeps disconnecting is "you 
  are using your 3 mb line at 100%"  He then set it lower and now it takes 10 
  minutes to download a 15 mb file vs the 1 1/2 - 2 minutes or so it took 
before.  I 
  know I'm not a  tech, but even that doesn't sound logical.  Now if I am 
  downloading from another server and try downloading a  15 mb file on AOL, it 
takes 
  20 minutes.

  I was also surprised that he was running a  test and he said he had nothing 
  to compare it to.  It seems that there is not a  DSL within a  two block 
radius 
  of me......
