USB was disabled in BIOS. After enabling it my USB scanner worked but I still can't get my digital camera or card reader to work. Software has been installed for both of these items but each time it the computer detects new hardware it looks for software and can't find it. When it tries to find the driver for the ScanDisk card reader it reports that it can't find "delentry.exe". I downloaded the file from the web and it still says that it can't find it. It doesn't like the USB driver, for the camera, on floppy I downloaded a fresh file from the camera's web page with no better luck. This is an integrated computer very few cards but made sure they were all seated. I ran SFC several files came up as possible problems ] But these could have just been files that were updated correct? The first questionable file reported was "user.exe" with the windows 98 CD in the drive I tried to replace it but I didn't now where it was on the disk The service pack 2 is a very cool find! Thanks I thank I'll save it for another time unless you still think it might help. How do you rerun Windows 98 setup in "upgrade mode"? A problem would be all the Windows updates I've done over the years would be lost. I think it must have something to do with the "delentry.exe" file.
