I looked it up on HP's site.  There is no 'power supply' for that scanner. 

1. Did you check both, the power connection to the scanner AND, the 
connection to the wall/power strip, to make sure they 100% connected?

2. Did you try a different power cord, to see if, the power cord is bad?

3. Did you try different cords(the ones used to provide power to the 
monitor or, the PC would be a good one to use) in the same connection, 
to see if something is bad with the wall/power strip?
