Hi Sally

>>Could it be that there's a bundled and hidden application?

If you have now deleted the program, it will most likely be the registry
entries causing the problem
but it is a dangerous place to make changes if you are not certain about what
you are doing. I see
Ivan has just suggested this but I would suggest setting a physical system
restore point and also
backing up your registry before you attempt it ... if you want to attempt it.

Perhaps Ivan can tell us in which folder/s he found the TUeagles entries and
which entries he
deleted?

>>Any chance I can detect it?

You would have to search for registry entries for the name TUeagles as follows

Click Start>Run type "regedit" (without quotes) and click on Edit>Find then
type in TUeagles and
click on "Find now"

Before you consider doing anything to the entries it finds, back up your
registry so that if
anything goes wrong you can restore it. In the same registry window you click
on File>Export and
browse to a place to store the back up registry perhaps create a folder called
Registry Backup and
copy it there. If you have ME, W2000 or XP also set a physical restore point.
Restoring the
Registry you backed up is File>Import and import the file from the folder you
backed it up to.

If you have physically deleted the program I wonder if a good Registry Cleaner
would recognise the
now obsolete TUeagles entries and clear them out for you. One free Registry
cleaner is Easy
Cleaner, you will find the download and instructions for use here:

http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm

I haven't used this one myself but will download it nevertheless. It comes
recommended by "Mike The
Bike" who is a respected moderator on many computer help lists and most folk
here will have come
across him at some time.

If you click on Start>Run and type "msconfig" (without quotes) and click OK,
then in the new window
that opens click on the Startup tab (last on right), a list of programs that
run at startup will be
displayed, do you see anything relating to TUeagles in the list? If so uncheck
the box to the left
to prevent it from running at startup and see if this helps.

>>Lastly would you know if I can find somewhere a 'default password database?'

I assume you mean a database of passwords, if there was such a database it
would be huge, you would
be quicker reinstalling or reformatting Windows than going down that route.
There used to be
programs that would attempt to crack passwords but I haven't researched that
field for a long time,
I will have a look though. If the password box displayed asterisks (*), where
the password should
be I could tell you how to crack that password.

Avast ye land lubbers!
One bear and no pirates found in this outbound vessel

Thank you Rupert Bear for your help.

I have tried all the options including "TUEAGLES" all caps.

Two emails to the vendor were sent but were ignored.

I am sending a reminder, hopefully they'll respond.

No "jog your memory" reminder option was available.

I have deleted all "tuEagles" entries from the Directory but to no avail.

Could it be that there's a bundled and hidden application?

Any chance I can detect it?

Lastly would you know if I can find somewhere a 'default password database?'

Sally
