I don't really know anything about the Recovery Consul found
on the Windows XP installation CD never having worked with it.
I would not want to confuse what I am doing with the recovery
consul.
 
What I was speaking of was the command found at path......
Windows\system32\CMD.exe in the Windows interface or
the [F8] key or by using an emergency Windows XP Boot CD
Made with the necessary files to open the computer to the
command prompt.
 
It's been a while since I used DOS but this is a close
comparison.  You can type "help" at the prompt to get a list of
the commands and the ones I tried worked the same as DOS
including "copy" to copy some of my pictures to a CD. If you
type a DOS command that is no longer accepted, it will even
give you a new command you can try.
