I thought I found a "home user" free version of Kerio; I wouldnt even download
a time limited piece of software.

>Sygate on my PC so I let it! Like it or not whatever version we have, its not
>going to be updated by Symantec now is it. I had this problem with downloads

I'm behind a Router and now I have XP firewall enabled. I saw on the internet
reports that in these circumstances XP firewall is adequate. I shall of
course scan online from time to time. With my router alone I am stealthed and
I know you are all going to tell me that my software could be sending out
messages and I need a firewall, I understand that
All that said, what ever I did loused up my anti virus and I found I couldn't
update that and had to repair it. Right now, XP keeps telling me it needs
updating. Now is that good?!
