I hear ya'll! Epson sent me an e-mail suggesting I call them (my 
expense) but talked like the printer would probably have to be 
replaced. 

I agree. I will not buy an Epson again. I've only had mine just over 
a year (past warrenty of course). I was getting darn tired of having 
to replace the black ink cartridge every month. Same thing with the 
HP I had before it. My old HP 722 ink cartridges lasted a year and I 
did more picture printing then. They give you less ink now so you 
have to buy it more often and they make more money. Does anyone have 
a different name brand printer that doesn't use ink so quickly.

Anyway, back to the problem at hand....I have spent over $50 on ink 
cartridges and this thing still doesn't work. If I use up all the 
ink by cleaning heads, whether it then prints or not, I've spent 
more money than it's worth.

Looking for printer recommendations now.
