Hi Catrina Download the program "Restoration" *to a floppy disk*, install it to a *floppy disk* and run a search for your missing/ deleted files on your hard drive and restore them to an external source ... not your hard drive as this may over-write the files you are trying to retrieve.
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html There are other programs such as PC Inspector that will do the same job and more quickly but they have to be installed on your hard drive and may over-write the files you want to restore. Restoration is small enough to install on a floppy, it is tedious in that the files can only be restored one at a time but at least you should get your files back ... and when you have them back, what should you do ... BACK THEM UP :-)) Rupert O^O--------------- Rupert's Reply To ---------------O^O My computer crashed-i still had some files although i could not open them and could not find where they really were tech guy reinstalled windows and i couldnt find them doing a search anymore so i called compusa to come over and try to retrieve files i accidentally deleted my recyle bin and now i realize thats probably where all my files were how do i get files back? and can compusa get those files back or are they permanently gone from my computer now? Catrina I cant believe i made 2 mistakes in a row not taking out those files as i saw it and emptying my recyle bin without looking to see what was in there cause i notice when you do a search it doesnt show what is in recyle bin Avast ye land lubbers!
