Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] Having mouse issue

My USB mouse keeps dying on me. I have a Ps/2 connector for it that
can make it act as a standard old fashioned mouse - unfortunately it
acts as if it has rabies when I use that.

So USB is really the only opiton it appears. I've tried to reinstall
the mouse (get latest drivers), I've tried deleting all the USB
devices etc in Safe Mode and letting it re-assign new IRQ values to
them (reinstall and find everything again, the printer etc).

What should I do, the rest of the computer (Dell - Windows XP Pro
Service Pack 2) is lovely.
