Why do you only need black ink? In most inkjet printers u need the
colour cartridges as well to produce Black. Maybe illogical but it
makes the manufacturers of cartridge a lot of money. As does the
residue of ink that you can't use in the cartridges. I have only
used Epson and I belong to the yahoo group. I always recommend that
people go to the FixYourOwnPrinterForums for help if needed

You can buy refill kits for Dell printers I would give your a Link,
but the results I get from my Browser keep defaulting to UK sites.
The Kits give you step by step instructions. Unless you have a
really good printer and need to produce high quality printing or
photographic work, the saving in filling your cartridges is massive.
The price of cheap printers is such, you don't need to worry about
invalidating the warranty, if you don't have to pay for a few sets of
cartridges you will be far enough ahead to buy a replacement
printer. I have filled a lot of cartridges and I have not been
disappointed by the results.
