Well I have no idea why you posted a message seeking help filling
non-refillable cartridges, and why you were so vague omitting details of
the printer and cartridges used? Epson also say that you cant refill
their cartridges, and if you can, you can't reset the electronic chips
- get real.

Do you mean you can't refill any Dell Printer Cartridge, or just the
ones you got with your system? If its the former. lots of people
selling ink to refill Dell cartridges must be really stupid.

Well I suppose you are talking about the cartridges, I have never heard
of cartridges where the tops are removable. Would be dangerous and make
a terrible mess.

You normally refill cartridges by removing the label, before you remove
the label you will see small depressions, when the label is removed
these are revealed as refill holes. Normally you have to insert a metal
object into the depression to force down a small ball that is closing
the hole. Then using a Syringe you inject ink through this opening and
when it will take no further ink you seal the hole(s) with sticky tape.
However, refill kits for Dell provide specific instructions for that
make.

Of course all the Printer manufacturers tell you cant refill their
cartridges, or use those from other suppliers. You do not need to be
Einstein to work out why? They make a loss selling cheap printers or
giving these away free, they make their money selling cartridges.

>Dell also says you must use dell ink but heard that was a myth.

Do you mean ink or do you mean third party cartridges? You can use
either, but if you buy really cheaply you may find the quality is so
poor that your printheads clog. All you need is your printer details
and the cartridge numbers and you can Google for either ink refill kits
or third party cartridges.

>Also the printer i have has one area to put in black and another area
for color.

Oh that's novel, and don't tell me the colour compartment has actually 3
colours probably yellow, magenta and cyan (yellow, red and blue, the
primary colours). I think my printer may be the same, as are many
millions of others.

>It would cost over 60 to bucks to buy new ink at dell.

That's quite cheap even though it has gone up $10 since your last
message, I presume you mean cartridges again. The ink probably costs
them under a $, I would pay a lot more than 60 bucks for genuine Epson
cartridges. You pay what you have to, but my natural modesty prevents
me from saying more.

I am sorry that you were unable to understand my reply to your original
message, I am always prepared to learn from others. Everyone can feel
free to contribute to my education whether its correcting my english,
improving my knowledge of computers, or even helping me to understand
matters allied to printing. I am here after all to learn from my peers.

I hope that you solve your problem.
