Yes Phyllis a lot of companies are selling Dell Refilled (re-
manufactured) cartridges and also the refill kits. I noted that
Chris never mentioned the model of the printer or the numbers on his
cartridges. Dell printers are only modified Lexmark printers. Dell
will need to sell lots of print cartridges to make up for the laptop
battery fiasco.

That evil person know as Parisiengarcon wrote on the CHAD group

Wheres Gregory (PoneyBoy) because I wanted to ask him about this?
He would to know if any one is likely to do. I dislike multi -
posters, crossposting done correctly can be quite proper. If I had
known that so many of you were trying to help Chris I wouldn't have
bothered responding to his/hers message in another group. I will mark
it up to experience, but I will not be telling people that you cannot
refill Dell cartridges. Apart from the road to hell being paved
with good intentions, I can think of an appropriate quote from W C
Fields.

Never mind here is a couple of quotes from sites in the UK:

Dell Inkjet Printers & Cartridges

Earlier Dell printers are based on Lexmark printing technology, but
modified so that only branded Dell ink cartridges will fit because
the Dell cartridges have a different cap to the standard Lexmark ones.

Cartridge SAVE have researched hard to bring you the most reliable
remanufactured Dell ink cartridges on the market. These cartridges
are Dell original ink cartridges which have been used once and then
recycled by a professional remanufacturing process involving
cleaning, refilling and testing. This produces a reliable
remanufactured Dell ink cartridge thus saving you money and the
environment at the same time. Click here to go to DELL ink cartridges

Another way of saving money is by refilling your original Dell ink
cartridge yourself. You can do this with our Jettec Inkjet Refill
Kits.http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/help_info/83.html

Dell has recently started private labeling Lexmark printers under the
Dell brand name. These printers are slightly different than the
Lexmark models. This means the cartridges are NOT cross compatible.
The good news is that we now have Dell compatible laser toner
cartridges at competitive prices and InkTec ink refill kits for Dell
inkjet printers. We should have more models in the following months
as we perfect the remanufacturing process on the new Dell laser
printer toner cartridge and Dell printer cartridge inkjet models.
Check back often for new releases of laser and Dell printer cartridge
replacements for inkjet, laser, and multifunction printers.

This http://www.ldproducts.com/dell.html proves its the same in the
USA

I thought some of you may find this interesting.
