Yep, I have gone both ways.

Yep, Windows runs fine after Ghosting the clone back to C:
I just determined too that I can clone to my external hard drive.

Yes, and I know now you could feel jittery about trying to restore the C 
drive. You can also use Ghost to clone other partitions. The first time I 
was ready to do a reformat restore if necessary.
