Subject: Recoveriing a Word Document
I have a Dell computer and I am writing a book. I am running
Microsoft Word 97. Yesterday while I was printing some pages, I
tried to close the document so I could save it to disk. It gave me a
message saying Word encountered a problem. I got that "End Program"
dialog box. I thought I did whatever was necessary not to lose the
document, but I was wrong; it is gone!
The title still shows up at the bottom of my file menu on a blank
Word document but when I try to open it I get a message saying "the
document or path is not valid."
I've got to believe that my book is still hiding somewhere on my
computer. Please help me. Of course, I looked in the Recyle Bin; I
also did a global search and came up with nothing.
I am feeling desperate as I have been working on this book for a
long time, so I will appreciate any help you can give me.
