Hi Emile,

Even thought I have WinXP, I still reboot my pc at least once a day out of
habit from my Win98 days when rebooting seemed a necessity. Rebooting my pc
daily seems to make it run better for me - would just logging of and then
back on accomplish the same thing I wonder?

Also my Hibernation does not seem to work, (it used to) not sure why, so I
don't like to leave it running 24 hours a day.

Has anyone else heard that?

Ya Catrina:
But not that often. Try once a week.

When Windows runs continuously. it is said, that it will accumulate
minor corruptions to it's files over time that will eventually lead to a
problem.

Windows is a self correcting Operating System and it reinstalls a clean
Registry every time it reboots. This is said to prevent the accumulation
of corrupted files. The first of six steps to correcting a PC problem is to
reboot. This is just a simple explanation. Bye

Emile
