I thought the newer versions of Acronis burned to DVD. Acronis 7 does 
burn to CD but with todays large hard drives, you will be inserting CD 
media forever. I backed up my C: partition a week ago. It had 8 GB of 
data on the drive. Using Acronis 7, it took 10 CDs to back up the drive.

I will keep that backup in case I have to recover in the next few 
months. I will back up My Documents and everything else using Nero 
backup. That will backup directly to a DL DVD.
