That is actually very good. Your response tells us that we should just concentrate on the speed of your machine.
One thing that happens when using computers on the Internet is that programs tend to add themselves to the startup process. One way I speed up my computer is to remove these items. I use a tool called msconfig. Here are instructions on how to use it: http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/. What I do is figure which are the virus and spyware scanning programs and shut down everything else. Running msconfig, virus and spyware scans along with defraging your disk drive will keep your computer running smoothly.
