Pam, If you cannot go back, the remember history box may not be checked. Go to Firefox > tools > options and under the security tab, be sure it remembers history for at least 5 days. Then you should be able to go back for it then remembers where you have been.
Once you set these options, it will remain if you remember to hit ok before you check out of the said options, that is...
